Our faith formation programs serve students in grades 1st thru 12th, open to students who will complete formation before age 18. Guided by dedicated volunteers, we help children grow in faith with care, enthusiasm & community support.

ANNUAL TUITION

Two consecutive years of preparation required to receive each sacrament

St. Edward Catholic Parish holds classes in-person following classroom guidelines issued by the Archdiocese of Miami. We reserve the right to make changes as necessary for the well-being of participants.

First Holy Communion (2 Years)

Typically Grades 1 - 5
  • Two (2) consecutive years
  • First Holy Communion cannot be received earlier than 2nd Grade
  • During the first year children learn about the life of Jesus, the Church, and the Mass
  • During the second year the children focus on the Sacrament of Reconciliation and on receiving the Sacrament of the Eucharist
  • Classes are approximately 90 minutes in length

Confirmation (2 Years)

Typically Grades 7 - 11
  • Two (2) consecutive years
  • Confirmation cannot be received earlier than 8th Grade.
  • During the first year they learn about Catholic Church teachings, the Nicene Creed and the Beatitudes
  • In the second year students learn about the examination of conscience, further enrich their lives as Catholics, and are encouraged to become disciples of Jesus Christ
  • Classes are approximately 90 minutes in length
